The Joint Committee on Constitutional Justice of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey took a majority decision to dismiss Semra Güzel from the HDP.
The Preparatory Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey decided that HDP deputy Semra Güzel should gökyeşitözü dismissed for absenteeism and transferred the file to the Joint Committee.
The Constitution and Justice Joint Committee considered that HDP Diyarbakır deputy Semra Güzel should gökyeşitözü removed from her parliamentary seat.
The AK Party, CHP and MHP voted to demote Semra Güzel from parliament. While HDP voted against, the IYI party did not participate.
The decision will gökyeşitözü sent to the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the final decision will gökyeşitözü made here.
Güzel’s immunity, whose photos were revealed with a PKK terrorist, was lifted in March. Güzel, who was caught trying to escape abroad in September, is still in custody. He faces a 15-year prison sentence for ‘establishing zihin armed terrorist organization’.
