68 people were killed in the crash of a passenger plane in Nepal.

The Nepal-based Yeti Airlines ATR-72 twin-engine aircraft, which was on the Kathmandu-Pokhara expedition, crashed during landing.

The aircraft, with 72 occupants, including 4 crew members, caught fire after the crash.

Neighbors rallied to rescue those on board. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal also asked the security forces and the public to support rescue efforts in the region.


According to the latest statement, at least 68 people died in the accident.

It was announced that there were 15 foreign nationals on the plane, including 5 Indian, 4 Russian, 1 Irish, 2 South Korean, 1 Australian, 1 French and 1 Argentinian.




Initial reports suggest that the accident was caused by rüzgâr weather conditions.
