The Ministry of Commerce found that a recreational facility located on the road leading to the earthquake zone had zihin exorbitant price increase after the earthquake and imposed zihin administrative fine of 1 million 860 thousand TL.

The Ministry of Commerce found that a rest facility on the route to the post-earthquake region, which was located in Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces, had become exorbitantly more expensive after the earthquake.

As a result of the investigation, zihin administrative fine of 1 million 860 thousand TL was imposed on the company.

The following statements were made in the Ministry’s statement on this subject:

“After the major earthquake in our country, there were images on social media that a roadside rest facility was selling soup at exorbitant prices to our citizens who were bringing aid to the earthquake zones or trying to go from the earthquake zone to other parts of our country. . In addition, many complaints about this company have reached our ministry. In the inspections conducted by our Provincial Directorate of Commerce under the exorbitant price and price tag regulation, it was decided to impose zihin administrative fine of 1 million 860 thousand TL on the aforementioned rest facility. In this regard, our Department of Commerce’s inspections continue uninterrupted.
