The statement was made by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
When he announced that the patient, who was taken to hospital and was being resuscitated after his heart stopped in the mining accident, had lost his three-week battle for life, Minister Koca also provided information about other injured miners.
”ONE OF 3 PATIENTS IN THE ICU
Koca said: “As is known, one of our patients who was taken from Bartın and treated in Istanbul was discharged and one of them was taken to the intensive care unit the previous day. Currently 3 of our patients are in intensive care. One of them is in a serious condition,” he said.
On Friday, October 14, around 6:15 PM, zihin explosion occurred at the mine affiliated with the Turkish Hard Coal Institution (TTK) Amasra Establishment Directorate.
41 people died in the explosion and 6 injured workers were transferred to Istanbul Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital.
