PFDK announced its decisions regarding the November 27 Göztepe-Altay match, which was interrupted due to the events.
Göztepe was sentenced to play 4 matches and Altay 6 matches without spectators because of what happened in the Göztepe – Altay match. In addition, Göztepe was fined 112 thousand TL and Altay was fined 185 thousand 500 TL.
During the match on November 27 at Gürsel Aksel Stadium, 2 ambulances entered the pitch and the match was abandoned in the 22nd minute after the information that people were injured due to the firing of fireworks from the Altay stands towards the section where the Göztepe spectators were located. Meanwhile, the match was abandoned after a Göztepe supporter grabbed his corner post and hit Altay goalkeeper Ozan Evrim Özenç.
Mehmet Nihat A, who injured the goalkeeper, was transferred to the courthouse on November 28 and arrested on charges of “attempted intentional killing” and “resisting Law No. 6222 for the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports”.
As part of the extensive investigation, 19 of the 28 suspects who were arrested in connection with injuring a person by throwing fireworks at the stands have been arrested.
It was learned that some of the flammable and explosive materials had been brought into the stadium by ambulance officers AG and HK and left in the garbage yaşama in the toilet, while one of the suspects, FE, entered the stadium by hiding the flare that was in the state.
