According to the information on the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) website, zihin earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale was recorded at 6:36 a.m. with its epicenter in the Sivrice district of Elazig.
The earthquake was said to have been 17.9 kilometers deep in the ground.
Two years ago, on January 24, zihin earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale struck the city. The 2020 earthquake killed 41 people.
