Is it fun to play Monster Hunter solo?
Yes. It is fun as a singleplayer game, especially when you dislike multiplayer. The NPC companions (Followers and Buddies) makes it feel less lonely. In fact, veterans tend to think of Monster Hunter games as single player games with multiplayer feature - not the other way around.
