ANALYSTS WAIT FOR FED STATEMENTS
Analysts said investors were cautious ahead of U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell’s speech at the Brooking Institution today, adding that Powell’s verbal guidance is expected to affect the direction of markets.
The money markets are pricing in the Fed raising rates by 50 basis points with a probability of 68 percent and with a probability of 32 percent by 75 basis points at the December meeting.
