In the case demanding the final closure of HDP, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Bekir Şahin, requested that the accounts of the party gökyeşitözü blocked with the support of the treasury on the grounds that “the organic links with the terrorist organization continue and the treasury resources are transferred to the terrorist organization”.
The chief prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Bekir Şahin, discussed this request and the Constitutional Court decided that the HDP treasury aid account was temporarily blocked.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Court of Cassation has decided to send the party’s justification regarding the request for the blocking of accounts with the support of the Treasury to the party.
Following the party’s response to this, the decision to block the Treasury’s support was reconsidered by the General Assembly of the Constitutional Court.
The committee unanimously lifted the decision to temporarily freeze HDP’s accounts for which treasury support had been paid.
