In a metal factory heavily damaged by the earthquakes in the Karaziyaret district of Dulkadiroğlu district of Kahramanmaraş, the owner of the workshop allegedly ordered some workers to remove the packaged products from the inside.

Workers in the factory, where the ceiling and columns collapsed, were left trapped under the rubble.

Firefighters who went to the region rescued the injured Ali Çam, İdris Nacar, Mehmet Yaşam and İbrahim Burak Öztürk.

İsmail Alakız, who was under the motorcade, died. The injured workers were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Relatives of the workers who came to the front of the factory responded by claiming that the workshop owner was struggling to save their goods and that he had brought workers into the factory, who had been banned from entering.

On the other hand, warnings about occupational safety on the walls of the badly damaged factory and on the door of the information office at the entrance attracted attention.

The words “Safety at work begins at this point” were seen on the office wall and “Safety first” on the factory walls.

The investigation into the incident continues.
