In the investigation conducted regarding the buildings that were destroyed in the earthquakes in the center of Kahramanmaraş or found to violate zoning regulations, 317 suspects were arrested, including 108 contractors, 173 construction supervisors, 18 building owners and 18 building alterations.

According to the information received, investigations initiated ex officio by the chief prosecutors following the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, revealed 1431 suspects responsible for the buildings that were demolished or where changes were found that violated the zoning plan contradict.

As part of the investigation, 317 suspects were arrested, including 108 contractors, 173 construction supervisors, 18 building owners and 18 renovations. Judicial control was ordered for 509 of the suspects.

In addition, arrest warrants have been issued against 314 suspects and zihin arrest warrant has been issued against 92 persons.

The investigation established that 4 suspects were abroad and 65 of the suspects died.

While 2 suspects are still detained by order of the Chief Public Prosecutor, 128 people have been released after their statements.

THE NUMBER OF PRISONERS IN THEFT INVESTIGATIONS IS 312

As part of the investigation by the Chief Public Prosecutor into the thefts that took place in the region after the earthquakes, 467 suspects have been identified related to 474 incidents. Of these suspects, 312 were arrested and judicial control was ordered against 60 persons.

As part of the investigations, arrest warrants have been issued against 29 suspects and 31 persons have been released after their statements. 13 suspects are still in custody.
