The investigation carried out after zihin administrative fine totaling approximately 2.7 billion TL against 5 chain markets (BİM, A101, ŞOK, Migros, Carrefour) and a supplier (Savola) has been completed.

As part of the investigation, the Competition Council investigated the pricing behavior of 15 companies, which are manufacturers/suppliers, on chain markets.

“THEY CREATED A CARTEL FOR PRICE”

As a result of the investigations and evaluations, it was found that some suppliers on the research side formed a cartel to determine the shelf prices of the markets by coordinating price increases between the five major chain markets.

The investigation concluded that in addition to the cartel, some companies violated the Competition Act by directly setting shelf prices in the markets.

“THEY HAVE RAISED PRICES”

It has been established that 13 companies have violated competition which yaşama indirectly increase shelf prices in the markets. In this context, the Council imposed a fine of 878 million liras on 13 suppliers.

WHICH COMPANIES WERE PUNISHED?

The companies penalized are Coca-Cola, Eti, Pacific Consumption, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Düzey Consumption, Red Bull, Unmaş, Şölen, Haribo, Kent Gıda, Glaxosmithkline and Doğanay.
